Job Description

We are looking for Housekeeping Room Attendants to join our team at the newly opened Cirque St. Armands Beachside Hotel in Sarasota, FL. Our Housekeeping Room Attendants report to our Executive Housekeeper and ensure a memorable guest experience by working to upkeep our beautiful new property. Responsibilities and Daily Activities Include:

  • Maintains a professional, positive, friendly demeanor with guests and fellow associates at all times.
  • Follows checklist in cleaning assigned guest rooms on a regular basis throughout the shift.
  • Completes assigned rooms in a timely manner for availability for 3pm guest check-ins.
  • Performs any combination of duties to clean and prepare hotel guest room: dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping beds, making beds, emptying trash/replace liners, cleaning surfaces/ windows & stocking supplies, extra linen and amenities.
  • Performs any combination of duties to clean and sanitize and prepare hotel guestroom bathroom: cleaning counters, sinks, bath tubs, shower stalls, and toilets; sweeping; mopping; vacuuming; cleaning mirrors; cleaning walls; emptying trash/replace liners; and stocking towels and bathroom amenities.
  • Stocks and maintains housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment, products and supplies.
  • Maintains cleanliness of public spaces as assigned.
  • Partners with other housekeeping associates as well as other departments to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Maintains cleanliness of housekeeping closets and service areas.
  • Follows protocol for processing lost and found items.
  • Maintains efficient storage of housekeeping supplies for later use; notifies housekeeping supervisor/manager of needed items.
  • Maintains hotel furniture and equipment; notifies housekeeping supervisor/manager of needed repairs or additional equipment.
  • Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times to protect and preserve guest and hotel property.
  • Responds to guests with issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Reports guest issues to housekeeping supervisor/manager.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally utilizing 2-way radio system.
  • Follows all established safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Other duties/project work as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and ability to multi-task
  • High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively; ability to speak, understand and read English.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Ability to be responsible, dependable, punctual, adaptable.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 5 hours at a time over an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, twist, turn, and climb stairs regularly.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
