Systems Administrator

About the Role:

Aquila Technology is seeking a System Administrator
to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting data transfers between various locations including support for Data Transfer Agent (DTA) operations. Operational support for various collaboration tools, including Web Conferencing, Video Conferencing, and other audio / video operations in various group locations (3).

There are a few requirements for the position:

• Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
• Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)
  

Job Description:

• Setup of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Web conferencing sessions
• Support all scheduling, set up and tear down of Division Classified VTCs
• Generate standard and custom reports using Excel and other tools
• Support for asset management and compliance tracking using dedicated tools & databases
• Utilize basic network and system monitoring tools to ensure optimum performance
• Perform basic network and IT troubleshooting as required to support immediate operational troubleshooting as needed for real-time missions, VTCs , video streaming and other collaboration tools
• Evaluate and propose use of open source and commercial hardware, software and tools where applicable

Required:

• Must have experience with configuring and troubleshooting AV equipment.

Must Have

• Clearance Level: Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
• 5 years - Perform basic network and IT troubleshooting as required to support AV equipment
• 5 years - Setup of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Web conferencing sessions
• 5 years - Support for asset management and compliance tracking using dedicated tools, databases
• 5 years - Utilize basic network and system monitoring tools to ensure optimum performance
• 5 years - Software Tools
• 5 years - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)

Nice to Have

• Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree

Work location: Hybrid - This position is 80% onsite due to the nature of the work.
