Ecolab is seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist to join our innovation efforts in the Quick Service Restaurant industry.
We are seeking a
Senior Chemical Engineer to join the QSR/FRS RD&E team in Greensboro, NC. In this role you will be responsible for leading innovation, development, and problem-solving projects to enable new product and platform development. Individuals in this role will work independently with minimal direction, work in a global, cross-functional team to design/execute experiments and communicate results to business leaders and customers. We are seeking a scientist who has a desire for collaboration and teamwork, are self-motivated, has good communication skills, and are creative problem solvers.

- Lead projects/experiments/research with limited scope and complexity from ideation through commercialization in support of the QSR business.
- As part of a diverse, global, multidisciplinary cross-functional team, a researcher in this position will collaborate directly with other scientists, research leaders, marketers, sales teams, and customers to develop, evaluate and deploy technical offerings.
- Opportunity identification, ideation, initial feasibility analysis, process and product development (including formulation, prototyping, test method development, field trial design and execution), leading to commercial introduction of new programs and customer solutions.
- Support projects and program segments to meet technical and business objectives.
- Develop new chemistry programs, asset models, and analytical tools that automation, equipment, and digital components to solve customer problems.
- Plan and perform relevant experiments and interpret results to develop solutions to complex research problems.
- Appropriately document and communicate all research and support activities using formal/informal reports and presentations.
- Ensure that all research activities are performed with safety as the top priority.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 2 years of experience working in chemical manufacturing or research, development and engineering (RD&E) of chemicals
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Experience in a combination of several of the following: formulation chemistry; performance and stability testing of product formulations; statistical design and analysis of experiments

Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience working in chemical manufacturing or research, development and engineering (RD&E) of chemicals
- Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and consistent attention to detail
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical writing skills
- Experience with problem-solving techniques
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
