  Your Mission

At Community Phone, we’re rebuilding the phone system to be smart, simple, and human for small businesses — and that starts with building the right team. Your mission as our Recruiter is to find and attract high-performing talent that aligns with our values and accelerates our mission. From sales to engineering roles, your work will directly impact our growth by ensuring that every hire is thoughtful, aligned, and ready to make a difference.

This is a high-impact, high-trust role for someone who wants to shape the trajectory of a fast-growing, remote-first company — and do it by working closely with passionate teammates who care deeply about the people they bring in.

  What You’ll Actually Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for 3–6 global roles at a time, spanning GTM and Engineering.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the real business need behind each hire and define what great looks like.
  • Source top-tier candidates from around the world using creative and data-driven search strategies.
  • Conduct thoughtful screening interviews that focus on potential, alignment, and performance.
  • Guide candidates and hiring managers through a smooth, structured, and fast-moving hiring process.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of future talent, especially for high-growth departments.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with candidates — setting expectations, providing feedback, and ensuring a best-in-class experience.
  • Report regularly on funnel health, candidate quality, and blockers — and adapt quickly when things shift.
  • Partner closely with the Operations Team to improve systems, tools, and overall recruiting strategy.
  • Stay on top of international hiring trends, advising on where and how we can find the best people.

You are…

Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience , including sourcing, screening, and closing across multiple departments.
  • A proven track record of hiring for remote and global teams , ideally in high-growth startups or tech environments.
  • Experience hiring for technical roles (like engineering) and commercial roles (like sales).
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and interview coordination platforms.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills — able to juggle multiple open roles with ease.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in async-first environments.

Traits and Values

  • Deeply curious — about people, businesses, markets, and what makes a great hire.
  • A strong operator — you move quickly, manage details well, and always follow through.
  • Bring a founder’s mindset — you think in terms of outcomes, not checkboxes.
  • High emotional intelligence — you’re a great listener, strong communicator, and natural relationship-builder.
  • A true partner to hiring managers — you’re not afraid to ask hard questions or challenge assumptions.
  • You care about the candidate experience and believe every interaction reflects the company’s values.
  • You’re energized by building and refining processes, and thrive in environments where priorities evolve quickly.

Compensation

This is a full-time contract role with a monthly rate of $2,000–$4,000 USD , depending on experience and region. These factors include (but are not limited to) job-related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location.
