Job Description

Innovative Care is currently hiring receptionists to work at our Primary Care and Urgent Care Offices. We have full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Responsibilities/requirements:

  • Greet patients when they arrive at our clinic and check them in for their appointment
  • Run real-time eligibility (RTE) on all patients to verify insurance and follows out of network policies as applicable.
  • Ability to multitask a must
  • Completes other duties assigned by the manager
  • Cross-training between various departments will take place to ensure coverage
  • Communicates effectively with others, respects diverse opinions and styles, and acknowledges the assistance and contributions of others
  • Must be flexible to work within the full hours of operation

The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare or customer service experience, a friendly and helpful demeanor, and will demonstrate the ability to use all computer applications efficiently. The medical receptionist must provide excellent support to patients and internal coworkers delivering patient care. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred. Must also be knowledgeable and respectful of HIPAA privacy.

Full time is 30-40 hours per week. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits. There is the opportunity to work extra hours based on the business needs and your availability.

Our offices are open Monday – Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday – Sunday 9am – 5pm. Must have availability two weekends per month.

Salary: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour based on experience

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • EHR experience preferred
  • HIPPA privacy knowledge
  • 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer data entry/typing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Customer service-oriented, friendly, helpful
  • Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Healthcare finance and/or healthcare insurance experience
  • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare setting, especially patient scheduling and/or registration
