JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to
Executive Director
This individual will be required to oversee Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) aspects of various projects and contracts while adhering to, and in-line with, the intent of our statement of work (work specification) to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The QHSE Manager position is responsible for performing a variety of Quality and HSE responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Develops, implements, and improves QHSE management systems, processes, and procedures to support business operations under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, etc.
2. Communicates information on the QHSE Management System throughout the organization and promotes HSE awareness through various communication channels.
3. Prepares QHSE documentation for clients/projects as per the requirements and in consultation with the Operations team.
4. Undertakes QHSE inspections /audits internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved QMS and related procedures of the company.
5. Develop, facilitate, and review QHSE risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the operations team.
6. Record and advise QHSE key performance indicators monthly and issue reports as necessary.
7. Develops, implements, and encourages the behavioral-based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections.
8. Actively participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports in consultation with management.
9. Acts as the Company’s representative in all regulatory QHSE meetings, committees, and seminars.
10. Diligently performs any other reasonable work or related tasks at the request of his/her superior.
11. Understand, implement, and follow the Company’s QHSE policies.
12. Report any HSE incident immediately as per HSE procedures.

1. Manages all Quality and HSE aspects of projects and contracts (currently limited to the Mobile, AL area),
2. Directs and coordinates all activities of the Quality and HSE Department,
3. Participates in Weekly & Monthly projects /contracts review meetings,
4. Liaises with Executive Team members, Engineering Team members, Project Managers, the Shop Floor, as well as the REEL North America Div. QHSE Director,
5. Responsible for the timely calibration of inspection instruments, the applicable certificate of calibration, as well as the secure storage of both tooling and documentation,
6. Follows all quality management protocols and procedures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
1. project /services experience.
2. 4-6 years of quality engineering /quality management in an ISO 9001 environment,
3. Qualification in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control,
4. Quality Management Institute (QMI) training would be an asset,
5. Previous experience in the aeronautics or automotive industry,
6. Has worked as a Production/Operations/ Quality and Safety Manager and/or Supervisor of a successful team and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success,
7. Has strong quality and safety management skills,
8. Possess strong people management skills,
9. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows and Office,
10. Analytical, problem-solver, optimistic, loyal, independent and hands-on,
11. Fluent in English (both written and oral). French speaking would be a strong asset.
Location
This position will be based in Mobile, AL.
This is a full-time position, and the typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This being a salaried position, the employee shall expect to work longer hours as required, in order to achieve the established goals and objectives.
Travel
Limited travel is expected for this position.
