Description Internship Description: Entry level HVAC End of Line Test Intern performs rework and setup on commercial HVAC systems for testing to verify they meet performance goals. Corrects any issues found during testing. End of Line Test Intern must be able to complete duties in a safe and timely manner in accordance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
Essential job duties and responsibilities include: The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of a End of Line Test Intern; however, additional duties may be assigned, as required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to achieve department and company goals.
- Coordinates area activities with testing Engineers and technicians. Responsible for completing a higher level of formal training as needed.
- Assist in testing units to verify they meet engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units to complete testing.
- Assist in building test setups and other projects.
- Verify units are built correctly to work order and engineering specifications.
- Perform activities such as wiring, operating recovery/vacuum machines and recharging refrigeration systems, adjusting charge on running refrigeration systems, brazing, and assembly as required.
Qualifications Qualifications: - An individual in this job must be enrolling in or have previously had Vocational/Technical Training or had HVAC experienceto meet entry-level requirements.
- The individual will have a minimum of 0-5 year industry experience or equivalent experience or education in a similar industry.
- Complete job assignments to meet testing schedules.
- Coordinate activities with employees and members of other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery of unit.
- Maintain safe and productive work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Up to 40 hours per week availability, not to exceed 480 hours total for the year.
- Hourly rate $18/hour.
Essential Physical Functions: - Lift up to 50 lbs., climbing, stooping, sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
- Requires frequent visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
