Job Summary

The Levy Internship Program is a paid fall internship that seeks diverse undergraduate and graduate college students with high academic standing at elite institutions. Levy Interns contribute to the complex food service and hospitality industry workforce; learn from leading executives, managers, and supervisors in bi-weekly Lunch and Learn sessions; and network with industry professionals

• This internship will be compensated an hourly rate paid bi-weekly
• College credit towards a major, minor or general elective may be earned
• Hours may vary from week to week depending on event schedule

This position will run tentatively from September 1st through mid-December, with potential for an extension.

Responsibilities: Levy at the University of Oklahoma is offering an opportunity for current college level students looking to gain real world concessions and premium food & beverage experience to position themselves for a career in the sports or food and beverage industry upon graduation. A Food & Beverage Intern position with Levy provides an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
• Verifies I-9 documentation and completes I-9 forms; tracks and initiates updates as required.
• Submits online investigation requests and assists with employee background checks.
• Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs; recommends any corrective action.
• Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
• Assists with processing terminations.
• Assists with the preparation of performance review forms.
• Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
• Assists with the recruitment and interview process.
• Assists with the various employee discount coupons by contacting companies as directed by HR Manager.
• Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
• Schedules conferences by reserving facilities at local hotels and/or restaurants.
• Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
• Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
• Prepares correspondence.
• Prepares new employee files.
• Processes mail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
