William Paterson University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty within the College of Science and Health, Department of Kinesiology. Note that there may not be a vacancy at this time; qualified applicants may be contacted if and when there is an immediate need or on an exploratory basis for a future opening. Undergraduate courses are taught both online and in person, with majors including Exercise Physiology, Physical Education Teacher Certification, Sport Management, and Sports Medicine. Graduate courses are also taught both online and in person, with majors including Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, and Sport Administration. The Department offers BA, BS, and MS degrees preparing students for careers in athletic training, exercise physiology, physical education, sport management/administration, and sports medicine. Facilities include the Human Performance Lab, Human Motion Analysis Lab, and Motor Behavior Lab. Duties include developing syllabi based on course outlines, supporting student success, and teaching in person and/or online depending on schedules and needs. Required qualifications for undergraduate courses include a Masters in a relevant discipline and related employment; preferred qualifications include professional certification and experience teaching online and in person. Required qualifications for graduate courses are similar. Personal attributes include ability to translate kinesiology experience into teaching, commitment to professional development, teaching excellence, patience, resourcefulness, and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
